Yeşil  Silisyum Karbür Tozu Kısa Tanıtım :  

Kimyasal formülü SiC olan bu ürün, temel hammaddeler olan yüksek saflıktaki kuvars kumu ve petrol kokunun yüksek sıcaklıkta elektrik dirençli fırında sentezlenmesiyle elde edilir. %85-99 oranında SiC ve Fe 2 O 3 , Al 2 O 3 , CaO, SiO 2 , MnO 2 katkılarını içerir .

Büyük sertlik (Mohs ölçeğinde 9,2) ve mikro sertlik (yaklaşık 3500 kG/ mm2 ) ile karakterize edilir . Kirlilik derecesinden etkilenen altıgen tipteki özgül ağırlığı (yoğunluğu) 3,15+/-0,05 g/cm3’tür . Yığın yoğunluğu 1,30 – 1,58g/cm3’e eşittir . İyi ısı iletkenliği, düşük ısıl genleşme (sıcaklık artışıyla azalır) ve yüksek mukavemet, malzemenin yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmasını sağlayan diğer özelliklerdir. Elektriksel olarak bir yarı iletkendir.
